Two Vienna style claret ground rectangular boxes and covers
each cover painted by Wagner with classical scenes, signed, within gilt panels with raised zig-zag and stiff leaf bands issuing foliage, the bases reserved with bands of pale yellow, blue and pink panels gilt with paterae and scrolling foliage, the interiors richly gilt, supported by four ball feet, within gilt metal hinged mounts with scallop clasps, titled to bases, blue shield marks -- 10.8cm. X 8cm. X 6.2cm., late 19th/20th century (one foot broken and restuck with a related chip, very slight wear)
