The Reference 5059
Introduced in 1998, the reference 5059 drew inspiration from watches popular during the Great War era. It features a heavy officer-style case with a distinctive hinged solid gold caseback that opens to reveal a sapphire crystal display back, showcasing the movement. Additional period details include an onion-shaped crown and protruding screwed spring bars.

The dial reflects its historical roots with a classic white face, Roman numerals, and elegant feuille hands. This sophisticated perpetual calendar wristwatch includes a retrograde date complication, with the date hand traveling along a 240° arc between 8 and 4 o’clock within the hour scale. At midnight on the final day of each month—whether the 28th, 29th, 30th, or 31st—the hand instantly returns to the 1st.

The reference 5059 was discontinued in 2006 and succeeded by the reference 5159.
