An Indo-Persian brass celestial globe,
diameter 6in. (15.2cm.), the sphere elaborately engraved with ptolemaic constellations and figures, upwards of five hundred stars indicated by a point and circle, the ecliptic and celestial equator graduated in degrees, further engraved with the latitude tropic and polar circles, equinoctial colure, solistal colure, and names of the major constellations and stars, with two axis pins through the poles, mounted on an engraved horizon ring and raised on three turned pillar supports and cruciform stretcher base
