the hood with stepped top and fretwork spandrels, turned pilasters to the door, with wavy top trunk door on plinth with block feet, the brass dial with engraved eagle in the arch and engraved spandrels, subsidiary seconds ring and silvered date aperture, signed Samuel Wainwright Northampton No. 2901 in the centre, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; associated and adapted -- 81in. (206cm.) high
