A Victorian Scottish three-piece tea service
of tapering shaped circular form and on C-scroll and foliate bases, with conforming rims and elaborate openwork C-scroll handles, each engraved with strapwork, flowers and foliage and with oval cartouches engraved with monograms, the teapot with rising curved spout and domed hinged cover with fluted baluster finial, the milk jug and sugar basin gilt-lined, possibly J. Murray or J. Mitchell, Glasgow 1856 - height of teapot 7½in. (19cm.), 51.25oz.
