A George III mahogany striking bracket clock with quarter chimes the case with brass handle to the bell top, sound frets to the cornice and ringed pilasters to the front angles, on ogee bracket feet, the circular white-painted dial signed Thos Shan Lancaster with steel hands, subsidiary strike/silent (hand replaced), the twin chain fusee movement with verge escapement, hour strike on bell with pull trip quarter repeat on six bells via a pin-barrel, the backplate elaborately engraved with a winged cherub mask and repeat signature within a cartouche; adaptations, possibly associated -- 19¼in. (49cm.) high
