the hood with swan neck pediment, abovbe fluted column uprights flanking a white painted arched Roman and Arabic dial, with subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture, signed indistinctly, within polychrome and gilt heightened palmette spandrals, the arch painted with the scene of a gentleman fishing on a rocky shoreline with sailing vessel and ruins beyond, the four pillar movement with anchor escapement striking a bell, the false plate stamped KEMPSON & FELTON, the plain trunk and plinth on bracket feet, 19th century -- 89in.
