A set of twelve Cantonese plates painted and gilt with central scenes of ladies, children and attendants playing musical instruments, reading, drinking and in conversation on terraces before pavilions, all within borders of birds among dense flowers and foliage -- 7¾in. (19.5cm) diam, (one cracked, some enamel flaking).
