A William IV Irish teapot and matching sugar basin
of compressed moulded circular form and on floral and foliate-capped lion's paw feet, each chased and embossed with rococo flowers, foliage and C-scrolls and with vacant cartouches, the teapot with squat rising curved spout, leaf-capped scroll handle and domed hinged cover with flower finial, the sugar basin also with foliate-decorated scroll handles, Charles Marsh, Dublin 1830 - height of teapot 6¼in. (16cm.), 45oz.
