A late Victorian ebonised quarter-chiming bracket clock
the case with balustrade to the bell top, gilt-brass female mask mount to the front and pineapple urn finials to the angles, ringed columns to the sides with Corinthian capitals, on rectangular base with recessed pierced lozenge-shaped mount centred by a bacchic mask, the brass dial with silvered rings for chime/silent and Westminster/Cambridge chimes to the arch, gilt-metal foliate and shell spandrels to the silvered Roman chapter ring, matted centre, the three chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, chimes on eight bells and hour strike on gong, pendulum holdfast to the backplate -- 24½in. (62cm.) high
