A pair of library globes, 18-inches (46cm.) diameter, 45-inches (114cm.) high overall, each globe made up of two sets of eighteen hand-coloured engraved gores, with elaborate constellation figures, the star positions taken from the catalogue of Mr. Wollaston, the terrestrial marking the tracks of Cook, La Perouse and Vancouver in the Pacific, original varnish (the varnish slightly crazed, some minor abrasions), metal axis, brass meridian circles, hand-coloured engraved horizon circles (small crack to celestial horizon), the globes mounted on later non contemporary English-style stands, the horizons supported by four quadrants to a turned central column, with three downswept legs, castors, compasses supported by stretchers (compasses lacking glass and pointers) -- 45-inches (114cm.) high
