Fowler, with brazed copper boiler built by Kellet, Manchester with fittings including two water gauges with shut-off valves, pressure gauge, safety, blower, injector, simpling, whistle, water lift, clack and blowdown valves. Engine details include cylinders 2¼in. and 3in. bores x 3in.stroke, footplate controlled draincocks and pipework, studded stuffing boxes, bar-type crosshead guides, Stephenson's link reverse, ratchet operated lubricator, big ends with wedged and bolted split brasses, counterbalanced crankshaft, eccentric driven feed pump and by-pass, three road speeds mounted inside and outside the hornplates with Fowler gear change mechanism, belt driven Pickering governor and belled disc flywheel. Chassis details include rubber tyred spoked wheels with brass hubcaps, steering check chains, footplate controlled damper, winch drum, cable and fairleads, injector, whistle, belly and tender tanks of brass with balance pipe, waterlift and suction pipe, hand operated rear wheel brakes with wooden blocks, working paraffin headlamps, tool box and readily detachable canvas covered metal framed canopy and many other details. Finished in maroon, black and polished brightwork with cast plates, the canopy sideboards lettered 'Fowler Road Locomotive' -- 34 x 56in.
