the cover painted with a classical scene, possibly Mars and Venus, signed, within a raised gilt roundel and blue and turquoise panels among flowers and raised gilt scrolling foliage, the base decorated with a panel of fleur-de-lis among raised gilt scroling leaves, the interior painted with flowers, imitation Sèvres mark, late 19th century (damages and repairs) -- 31cm.
