the breakarch case with berried leaf carving to the lunette, caryatid figures to the front and pierced frets to the sides, on inverted breakfront base, the brass dial with foliate spandrels and matted centre to the silvered chapter ring, subsidiary slow/fast and chime/silent rings in the arch, the twin barrel movement with chimes on two gongs, movement dissassembled, German, early 20th century -- 19½in.
