A George III mahogany longcase clock
the breakarch hood with brass stop-fluted columns and sound frets to the sides, the breakarch trunk door with bats' wing patera above, flanked by stop-fluted chamfered sides, with quatrefoil panel to the plinth with bats' wing paterae to the corners, on bracket feet, the brass dial with strike/silent ring in the arch within dolphin spandrels, cherub mask and foliate spandrels to the silvered chapter ring, the centre engraved with subsidiary seconds and date rings, signed Hopkins Deptford, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement, restorations -- 86in. (218cm.) high
