A builder's mirror back half model of the Bosphorus Paddle Steamers No.s 37 and 38 built by Messrs R. & H. Green, Blackwall, 1890
with cutaway masts and funnel, anchor davit, samson post and winch, seats, deck rails, companionways, fairleads, bollards, decorative paddle box with feathering paddle and centrally mounted steering position with helm and binnacle, ventilator, engine room lights, aft deck light, seats and steering position, awning rails and ship's boat with thwarts in davits (some old damage, some loose pieces). Finished in varnish and black and mounted in original mahogany glazed case (one pane of glass broken) with back silvered glass (decayed in places) finials and legend -- 15½ x 58in. (39.5 x 147.3in.)
