A detailed 14in:1ft scale builders model of the tanker M.V. 'Serenia' built by Vickers Armstrongs (SHIPBUILDERS) Ltd Newcastle upon Tyne for Shell Tankers Ltd July 1961
with signal masts and aerial derricks and rigging, anchors, capstans fairleads, bollards, deck rails, companionways, pipework, extensive valves, tank hatches and vents, central and superstructures with wheel house and open bridge over with binnacle, DF aerial, ventilators, crew and passenger accomodation, deck winches, davits, swimming pool and many other details. The hull, with five blade propeller and rudder is finished in red, green and white with grey and green decks with painted fittings and mounted on four plated columns - 9 x 50in (22.8 x 127cm).
