wood, cast-iron and wrought iron, repainted in green and red, with red panels and yellow lettering 'Las Boyd & Son', two vertical single-acting pump cylinders incorporating Simpkin's 1792 Patent Metal Valves, front wheel steering, two lengths of outlet and one length of inlet rivetted leather hose, brass end cap, pumping handles at sides, with turned rods at top, probably grips for combined foot operation, maker's plate by inlet 'By the King's Patent Hadley, Simpkin & Hadley, Long Acre, London', circa 1795 -- 94in.
