A well engineered 3½in. gauge model of the L.N.E.R. Class B1 locomotive and tender No. 1003 Gazelle,
built by J.L. Whitfield with silver soldered superheated copper boiler with fittings including water and pressure gauges, safety, blower, simpling, steam brake, whistle clack and blow down valves. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with Walschaert's valve gear, cab controlled draincocks, fluted coupling and connecting rods, mechanical lubricator, twin eccentric driven feed pumps and by-pass, steam operated brake gear, whistle, riveting and dummy lubricators and sanding gear (some damage). Tender details include hand feed pump, hand operated brake gear, water cock, steps, hand and lamp irons, finished in L.N.E.R. green livery and lining -- 9¾ x 46½in. (25 x 118cm.). Display track, boiler certificate valid to 2.12.97, and useful items.
