A late 18th/early 19th-Century English brass universal equinoctial ring dial,
unsigned, the meridian ring with sliding suspension ring, engraved on one side with two quadrants, on the other with declination scale, the silvered, pivoted equinoctial ring with I - XII hour scale (twice), the inner edge engraved with divisions of 5 and 15 minutes of time, the silvered bridge engraved with zodiac and calendar scales, with sliding pin hole sight (some rubbing to silvering) -- 6¼in. (15.7cm.) diameter
