A Hellenistic mosaic glass dish
2nd/mid-1st Century B.C.
The circular bowl with wide everted translucent amber rim spirally wound with opaque white thread, the shallow bowl formed from mainly translucent aubergine and amber canes decorated with opaque white star pattern, with opaque light blue, turquoise and greenish-yellow short ribbons, slight iridescence, repaired
4 7/8 in. (12.3 cm.) diam.
