Down & West 47, p. 138. One of a series, undertaken at the end of Anderson's period as a cricket artist, and derived from the much earlier series by G. F. Watts and the illustrations to Nicholas Wanostrocht's Felix on the Bat. The print gives a good impression of round arm bowling, although Down & West (p. 39) comment: "It is hard to see why Anderson should have chosen such a derivative theme ... perhaps Fred Lillywhite had detected a market for these updated versions. If so he must have miscalculated, as their comparative scarcity today indicates that sales must have been poor."
