Lot Essay

Team: W. Bardsley, J. Ryder, H. L. Hendry, J. M. Gregory, E. R. Mayne, T. J. E. Andrews, Sydney Smith (manager), A. Mailey, E. A. McDonald, H. L. Collins, W. W. Armstrong (Captain), C. G. Macartney, H. Carter, J. M. Taylor, C. E. Pellew, W. A. Oldfield. Acknowledged as one of the strongest Australian sides to visit this country, the fast bowling combination of Gregory and McDonald, backed up by the exceptional slower bowling of Armstrong and Mailey, overpowered England's batsmen. Three matches were won by Australia and two drawn.

Some spotting to mount which has a tear at right hand margin.
