A 3-inch (7.7cm.) diameter terrestrial pocket globe, made up of twelve hand coloured engraved paper gores, Europe coloured red, North and South America outlined in green, the oceans showing the tracks of the voyages of discovery of Captain Cook and other circumnavigators, the tracks labelled with the names of vessels used, the Barbary Coast of North Africa clearly marked, Central Asia labelled with "Step or Desert", (old surface abrasions, some cracks) with steel axis pin, contained in a fishskin-covered case, the interior with printed world map inscribed "the world as known in Cesar's time agreeable to D'Anville" and "a table of latitudes and longitudes of places not given on this globe"
