A 3-inch (7.7cm.) diameter terrestrial pocket globe, made up of twelve hand coloured engraved paper gores, Europe coloured red, other continents and countries individually coloured or coloured in outline, the oceans showing the tracks of Captain Cook's voyages and Admiral Anson's earlier voyage of discovery, the Southern Pacific shown as THE GREAT SOUTH SEA, the South Atlantic toward the West African coast shown as THE ETHEOPIC OCEAN, the meridian of Greenwich shown, Central Southern Africa labelled COUNTRY OF THE CAFRES, and the Nigerian region labelled NEGRO LAND, (some old surface abrasions) the steel axis pin with two paper washers, contained in a simulated fishskin-covered case, the interior with printed celestial chart, the case with three brass hooks and eyes
