The anglaise riche Corinthian case with dentil cornices and decorated with polychrome enamel to the top, columns and base, with foliate cast pierced gilt-brass mounts to the side panels under bowed glass, conforming mask to the silvered Arabic chapter ring with black-painted numerals and pierced centre mount, blued hands, the lever platform with cut bimetallic balance, strike/repeat on gong to the backplate stamped for E. Maurice & Co and numbered 5612
