The hood with swan-neck pediment centred by a triangular cresting, part baluster and stiff leaf carved columns, the trunk with cross-banding, marquetry and parquetry inlay, wavy top trunk door with panel below, flanked by three-quarter columns, the plinth with raised panel and on bracket feet, the white dial (repainted) with rolling moon in the arch, the spandrels painted with rustic cottages, subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture to the centre, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement, restorations
