The case with brass handle to the domed top, pineapple finials, glazed panels to the sides below sound frets, conforming frets above the front door (lacking), on later block feet, the 6¾in. (17cm.) square gilt-brass dial with winged cherub mask spandrels to the silvered chapter ring signed Hen. Massy London, with date and mock pendulum apertures to the matted centre with ringed winding holes, the five pillar (one now lacking) twin fusee movement now with anchor escapement striking on bell, formerly with repeat work, with repeat signature to the backplate elaborately engraved with leafy scrolls
