The hood with stepped top and spiral-twist columns, trunk door with moulded panelling, conforming ornament to the stepped plinth, the 9¾in. (25cm.) square brass dial with mask and foliate spandrels, matted centre with ringed winding holes, the German triple barrel movement with anchor escapement and chimes on five gongs
