A 10-Bore Turkish Miquelet-Lock Gun
Late 17th Century
With heavy twist barrel in five stages with pronounced muzzle, slotted brass fore-sight and standing slotted back-sight, the surface inlaid with silver and cut with arabesques and circles (perhaps originally set with stones), silver-inlaid lock (pitted) with silver-lined stamp (one side-nail missing, jaw-screw incomplete), figured full stock (cracked and repaired) sparsely inlaid with brass pellets and roundels of geometric design inlaid with black, green, and white horn, swelling faceted butt inlaid with white horn plaques, brass button trigger, two silver barrel bands, horn fore-end cap (incomplete), and brass-tipped iron ramrod (sling mounts missing)
