Arrival of Shiva at his marriage to Parvati
gouache heightened with gold on paper, in a courtyard among buildings, Shiva enters riding on his white bull surrounded by Vishnu and Brahma and a throng of devotees, a group of women gather to greet them and musicians play from a balcony above, blue ground floral border, (two small areas of repainting, generally good condition), mounted, framed and glazed, Kangra or Garhwal, mid-19th century - 9½ x 12½in. (21.6 x 31.8cm.)
