A George III oak longcase clock, last quarter 18th century
The hood with broken arch pediment above blind fret cornice, outset columns, the arched trunk door flanked by reeded 3/4 pilasters, with chamfered sides to the plinth with raised panel and on bracket feet, the 13¼in. (33.5cm.) square engraved and silvered one-piece dial with scroll spandrels, engraved urns to the centre flanking seconds ring, with date aperture below, bearing signature Watkin Owen LLANWRYST, replaced seatboard, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement, probably associated -- 85in. (216cm.) high
