A Victorian mahogany longcase clock, second quarter 19th century
The hood with swan neck pediment and outset columns, with conforming pilasters flanking the bowed trunk door with 'onion' top moulding above, the panelled plinth with wavy apron, the white dial with painted armorial to the arch and seasonal spandrels, subsidiary seconds and date rings to the centre with rubbed signature, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 86½in. (220cm.) high
