The case with swan neck pediment centred by a brass ball and spire finial with fluted mock pilasters below, outset brass-capped reeded columns, cross-banded wavy arch trunk door, the stepped plinth on bracket feet, with unusual 12½in. (32cm.) wide oval white dial, date aperture to centre (chapters re-painted), the four pillar movement with anchor escapement
