with everted necks, painted and gilt with shaped panels of scholars and attendants on terraces and bearded figures on riverbanks amongst lotus flowers and leaves, all on grounds of cartouches of birds in flight and perched on flowering branches, amongst dense scrolling kiku heads and geometric designs -- 15¾in. (40cm.) high, (minor gilt rubbing.)
