A Very Rare Pair Of Superimposed Load Flintlock Box-Lock Tap-Action Pistols

With three-stage turn-off cannon barrels, signed border engraved actions decorated with rococo ornanment (actions defective, both top jaws and one steel missing, jaw screws incomplete, one steel-spring replaced), engraved trigger-guard safety-catches, swelling figured walnut butts (one chipped) each finely inlaid with silver wire scrollwork, a bird, a flowerhead and a grotesque (the birds and one grotesque missing), and silver grotesque mask butt-caps (in worn condition overall, silver marks indistinct): in later tooled leather holster, private Birmingham proof marks
