A PAIR OF ITALIAN CREAM-PAINTED AND PARCEL-GILT COMMODES
First half 19th Century
En suite with the two preceeding lots, each with a waved and moulded red and white variegated brêche violette marble top above two doors decorated sans traverse with a central scallop-shell in a cartouche flanked by foliate scrolls, enclosing three long drawers, flanked by shaped angles with C-scrolls, husk-trails and acanthus sprays and with conforming sides, the shaped apron with two volutes and a central foliate spray on C-scroll and scrolled legs, one marble top with restored break

By repute the Casa Lancellotti, Rome, and made between 1815 and 1820 and thence by descent at Casa Lancellotti.
