A Meissen figure of Harlequin playing the bagpipes
Circa 1745, traces of blue crossed swords mark
Modelled by J.J. Kändler in a plumed pink hat, turquoise, pink, flowered and chequered gilt-edged jacket with white ruff and cuffs, pale-yellow breeches and white shoes with turquoise rosettes, playing the bagpipes and seated cross-legged on a rockwork mound base (restoration to brim of hat, neck, end of instrument, rosette to left knee)
