A pair of Meissen figures of dancing children
Circa 1750, traces of blue crossed swords marks, Pressnummern 24, the boy with an impressed X
He in a turquoise and puce tunic with puce breeches and yellow shoes, she in a puce-edged white dress with blue ribbons, both dancing before a tree-stump on circular gilt scroll-moulded mound bases applied with coloured flowers and foliage (restoration to their hats and her hands, minute chipping to extremities, he with chip to edge of base and slight rubbing to enamels)
