A PAIR OF GEORGE III MAHOGANY LIBRARY OPEN ARMCHAIRS
With serpentine padded rectangular back, arm-rests and bowed seat, one covered in distressed pink-patterned ivory-coloured material, the other in florally patterned pale green material, with channelled downswept arm-supports and channelled square legs, one with later brass caps and castors, repairs to tops of arm supports and one right front leg, one front rail inscribed in pencil 106 (2)
Provenance
Supplied to Charles, 5th Duke of Bolton (d.1765) for Hackwood.
By descent until sold in 1935 with Hackwood to William Berry, 1st Viscount Camrose (d.1954).
Thence by descent.
