A TALL BLACK-GLAZED RIBBED OVIFORM VASE
yuan dynasty or possibly earlier
The rounded body and shoulder modelled with parallel horizontal ribbing, the waisted neck with a short splayed mouth rim, the sides and base covered with a thick black glaze mottled with olive-brown thinning at the raised ribs and mouth rim, the foot unglazed revealing the pale grey body underneath
