A NAMIKAWA SOSUKE KIDNEY-SHAPED CLOISONNE TRAY
With Namikawa Sosuke seal, Meiji Period (Late 19th Century)
Decorated in various coloured enamels, partly in wireless enamel and with silver wire depicting a sparrow perched on a blossoming branch covered by snow, shakudo rim, the reverse similarly decorated with scattered cherry blossom in two tones of brown on a darker brown ground
11.5/8in. (29.5cm.) diam.
