FERRANTE, Calisto. Novissima Urbis Romae Descriptio. Rome: Andrea Vaccari, [c. 1610]. Engraved bird's-eye plan of Rome on a full Royal sheet, 394 x 517mm. Title set in a banner along upper margin, key, dedication in decorative scrolled cartouche, inset winged putti, one supporting the triple tiara, the other with bugle. (Trimmed to plate mark and window-mounted, some discolouration and light staining, a few small holes.)
RARE. Andrea Vaccari was a publisher in Rome and flourished between 1600 and 1620. Not in Frutaz; not in the British Library; watermark crown surmounted by six-pointed star.
