each with wavy scroll-carved top-rail and shaped vase splat, solid seat and scroll-carved lapetted turned tapering legs with pad feet and joined by turned stretchers, the back legs chamfered and joined by a square section stretcher, each chair branded on the top-rail to the reverse D.E., some toes repaired

It is noticable upon a close inspection that some of the turnings of the stretchers are thicker than others and some of the chamfering on the back leg is of variable gauges. This might suggest a number of craftsmen in the same workshop having produced this set of chairs.
