A North European maple hanging cabinet, late 19th century
with an egg-and-dart moulded broken pediment enriched with urn finials, above a frieze carved with the name Nicolaus Petrus Petri and a door carved with a rosette and strap-work border, the central panel with ribbon-tied foliage and entwined serpents with a tablet dated 1892 and a similarly carved drawer below, with canted fluted and imbricated fluted angles and a waterleaf and dentil-carved apron with turned pendants, one finial missing -- 15in. (38cm.) wide
