edo period (19th century), signed yamada taigyo saku and sealed
Of oval section, decorated in gold, silver and iroe togidashi, hirame, nashiji and kimpun on a roiro ground, depicting the Six Immortal Poets, three by three circular cartouches on each side, interior cases fundame; fitted with a disc form guri style lacquer netsuke with a metal plug and a colored wood ojime of a dancer
