Nineteenth-century quarter calf and marbled paper boards, edges speckled (light rubbing). Provenance: Jean Louis Marc Alibert (1768-1837), dermatologist, author of the first French illustrated work on dermatology, Description des maladies de la peau (Paris, 1806) (presentation inscription from author on half-title).
