FIRST EDITION, "a major advance in the mathematization of mechanics" (DSB). The first part deals with forms of motion in a geometrical (or Euclidean) manner, the second (and longest) part treats with the calculation of centers of gravity, and the third part is devoted toelementary machines and percussion.
