The case with stepped and moulded roof top, recessed and raised panels to the sides, with reeded and chamfered front angles centred by flowerhead carvings, with quarter frets to the dial with leafy scroll mouldings, on stepped rectangular base, acanthus cast gilt-brass bezel to the silvered Roman dial with blued hands, set/going adjustment lever above XII and slow/fast dial below, signed in the centre Arnold & Dent London 322, the twin chain fusee movement with vertically positioned plain three-arm brass lever balance and strike on bell
