A finely detailed partially planked 1:48 scale model of the Royal Naval 12-gun Brig Nautilus of circa 1800,
built by M. Puttock with bound masts, yards with stun's'l booms, hand holds and foot ropes, standing and running rigging, cast lion's head figurehead, anchors, catheads with rose decoration, companionways, bitts, gratings, shot racks and shot, belaying rails and pins, bell and canopy, bilge pumps, sail winch, capstan, hammock nettings, helm, tiller and clinker built long boat in stern davits with bottom boards, thwarts and oars, main deck guns in carriages with tackle, and many other details. The hull, finished in natural wood, unplanked to the waterline, has a fully planked deck, planked bulwarks pinned with tre'n'als, glazed quarter cabin windows, and is mounted on two turned brass columns -- 35 x 47in.
